Summary
Product identification
- Product Name: LEWATIT® MonoPlus S 300 KR
- Product Type: Strongly acidic, highly cross-linked gel-type cation exchange resin
- Form: Specific grain size, monodisperse particle size distribution
- Regeneration: >99.5 % (H⁺ form)
General Description
LEWATIT® MonoPlus S 300 KR is a strongly acidic cation exchange resin with excellent osmotic and physical stability, and high resistance to oxidation. Its monodisperse particle size distribution results in lower pressure losses compared to standard resins.
Key Features and Applications
- Optimized for polishing condensates.
- High flow rate capabilities for desalination.
- Extremely low content of elutable chloride ions, meeting nuclear industry requirements.
- Suitable for mixed beds with Lewatit® Mono Plus M 800 KR or Lewatit® Mono Plus M 880 KR, even at high flow rates, with very low residual salt content.
- Low fines content (max. 0.1 % of particles < 0.315 mm).
Specific Applications:
- Removal of cations, including radioactive isotopes (e.g., pH control via ⁷Li adsorption).
- Decontamination of circuits in nuclear installations.
- Removal of radioactive cations (high selectivity for ¹³⁷Cs).
- Use in the primary coolant circuit of pressure or boiling water reactors.
- Cleaning of blowdown from steam generation units.
- Removal of radioactive fission and corrosion products, including mechanical filtration of suspended solids.
- Fine cleaning in primary and secondary circuits as a mixed bed component.
