Applications
LEWATIT® S 2568 is especially applicable for:
- Decationization of solutions of organic products (e.g., sugar beet, sugar cane, starch sugar, glycerine, gelatine, food acids).
- Extraction of amino acids (e.g., lysine).
- Softening of solutions, especially of sugar thin juices.
The resin offers features such as:
- High exchange flow rates during regeneration and loading.
- Good utilization of capacity.
- Low rinse water demand.
- Homogeneous throughput of regenerants, water, and solutions.
- Nearly linear pressure drop gradient allowing for higher bed depth.
- Good separation behavior in mixed bed applications.
