Applications
Lewatit® S 5228 is particularly suitable for:
- Demineralization of aqueous solutions such as gelatine, fruit juices, whey, and food acids, operated with co-current or modern counter-current systems (e.g., Lewatit® WS System).
- Removing of organic matter.
Additional Information & Regulations
- Safety precautions: Strong oxidants (e.g., nitric acid) can cause violent reactions. Safety data sheets must be observed for product description, transport, storage, handling, safety, and ecology.
- Disposal: In the European Community, ion exchange resins must be disposed of according to the European waste nomenclature.
- Storage: Store above the freezing point of water, under roof, in dry conditions, without direct sunlight. If frozen, allow to thaw gradually at ambient temperature before handling or use.
