PDF datasheet mirror for LEWATIT® TP 260 (Lanxess LEWATIT). Verify with OEM before design.

Summary

Product identification

Lewatit® TP 260 is a weakly acidic, macroporous cation exchange resin with chelating amino methyl phosphonic acid groups. It has a heterodispersed bead size distribution.

Applications

This resin is suitable for:

  • Secondary purification of brine feed to chlorakali membrane cells (in the absence of iron (III) ions and with low demand on Sr and Ba removal).
  • Uranium removal from crude phosphoric acid.
  • Titanium removal from recycled battery acid.
  • Antimony (Sb) and tungsten (Bi) removal from copper containing electrolytes.
  • Aluminum removal from urea solutions.
  • Fluoride removal (with aluminum doped Lewatit® TP 260).
  • Lead and stominum removal from BF₄⁻ containing wastewater from PCB production.
  • Removal of iron (II), nickel, and zinc from 5% gluconate containing liquid metal working solutions.
