Hydraulic Characteristics
Backwash
- During up-flow backwash, the resin bed should be expanded between 50 and 70% for at least 10 to 15 minutes.
- Initial bed expansion upon first putting into service usually requires approximately 30 minutes.
- Bed expansion increases with flow rate and decreases with influent fluid temperature.
- Caution must be taken to avoid resin loss through the top of the vessel by over expansion.
Pressure Drop
- The pressure drop across a bed depends on particle size distribution, bed depth, voids volume, flow rate, and influent solution viscosity.
- Factors such as particulate matter, abnormal resin compressibility, or incomplete bed classification can result in increased head loss.
- Service flow rates may vary from 10 to 40 BV/h, depending on water quality, application, and plant design.
Regulatory Approvals
- IFANCA Halal Certified
- LPPOM MUI Halal Certified
Typical Packaging
- 1 ft³ Sack
- 25 L Sack
- 5 ft³ Drum (Fiber)
