Operation
Purolite® C100ELT is a high capacity premium bead form, conventional gel polystyrene sulphonate cation exchange resin, designed for use in industrial or household water conditioning equipment. It removes hardness ions, such as calcium and magnesium, replacing them with sodium ions. Capacity is restored by regeneration with common salt when the resin bed is exhausted and hardness ions begin to break through. The capacity achieved depends largely on the amount of salt used in regeneration. Purolite® C100ELT can also remove dissolved iron, manganese, and suspended matter due to the filtering action of the bed.
