Summary

Product identification

  • Product Name: SBG2-OH
  • Product Line: ResinTech
  • Type: Strong Base Anion, Type II Anion, Styrenic Gel, Hydroxide Form

Description

ResinTech SBG2-OH is a Type 2 gel strong base anion resin in hydroxide form. It offers lower selectivities, higher chemical efficiency, and better resistance to fouling compared to Type 1 anion resins. Its thermal sensitivity may lead to reduced lifespan if operating temperatures exceed 85°F (approx. 29°C). SBG2-OH is designed for industrial demineralization applications where regeneration efficiency is important and operating temperatures are moderate. It can be used as the anion component in demineralization systems when paired with a hydrogen form cation resin. It has less objectionable odor than typical Type 1 anion resins and is more efficiently regenerated than Type 1 resins, often yielding higher operating capacity.
