Amberjet 1300 H
PDF datasheet mirror for Amberjet 1300 H (Rohm & Haas). Verify with OEM before design.
Summary
Product Identification
AMBERJET™ 1300 H is an industrial-grade strong acid cation exchanger. It is a uniform particle size, gel-type, sulfonated styrene divinylbenzene copolymer resin.
Applications
This resin is designed for use in all demineralisation systems, including stratified bed applications. It can be used in:
- Stratified bed applications with AMBERLITE™ IRC86SB resin in STRATAPACK™ or STRATABED™ columns.
- Regenerable mixed bed applications combined with AMBERJET 4200 or AMBERJET 4400 anion exchangers.
- Packed bed systems, including AMBERPACK™ systems.
Operating Limits
AMBERJET 1300 H resin is suitable for industrial uses. For specific applications such as pharmaceutical, food processing, or potable water, consult Rohm and Haas for advice.
Regeneration
- Regenerant: HCl or H₂SO₄
- Regenerant Level:
- HCl: 50 to 150 g/L
- H₂SO₄: 60 to 200 g/L
- Regenerant Concentration:
- HCl: 3 to 6 %
- H₂SO₄: 0.8 to 5 %
- Minimum Contact Time: 20 minutes
- Rinse:
- Slow rinse: 2 BV at regeneration flow rate
- Fast rinse: 1 to 3 BV at service flow rate
Hydraulic Characteristics
- Service Flow Rate: 5 to 50 BV*/h
- *1 BV (Bed Volume) = 1 m³ solution per m³ resin
- Bed expansion and pressure drop data are presented in graphical form (Figures 1 and 2 respectively) as a function of backwash flow rate, service flow rate, and water temperature. These data are valid at the start of the service run with clear water and a correctly classified bed.
