*1 BV (Bed Volume) = 1 m³ solution per m³ resin
Performance
AMBERJET 4600 Cl resin offers better regeneration efficiency and higher capacity than type 1 resins, but has lower affinity for silica. Operating capacity and silica leakage are influenced by water analysis, temperature, and regenerant level.
Limits of use
This resin is suitable for industrial uses. For pharmaceutical, food processing, or potable water applications, consult Rohm and Haas.
Caution: Exceeding 35°C for the fluid to be treated or the regenerant solution can cause loss of strongly basic groups.
Hydraulic characteristics
Bed expansion and pressure drop data as a function of backwash flow rate, service flow rate, and water temperature are presented in the figures. Pressure drop data are valid at the start of service with clean water and a properly classified bed.
