AMBERJET™ UP6040 is a semi-conductor grade, pre-mixed, final polishing ion exchange resin bed. It is composed of strong acid cation and strong base anion gel type resins.

Description

This mixed bed resin is designed for final polishing in high purity water treatment applications, particularly in the semiconductor industry. It is intended for use in non-regenerable final polishing mixed beds and is not recommended for regenerable applications. The resin mixture is formulated to prevent clumping and minimize separation during handling in water slurries, ensuring stable performance. Its uniform particle size is designed to optimize kinetic performance, allowing high service flow rates while balancing pressure drop and purity.

These conditions are suggested for optimal performance.

  • Maximum operating temperature: 60°C (140°F)
  • Feed water temperature: 15 to 25°C (60 to 77°F)
  • Minimum bed depth: 900 mm (3 feet)
  • Service flow rate: 30 to 50 BV*/h

Recommended influent water quality

  • Inlet Resistivity: > 17 MΩ.cm
  • Inlet Silica: < 2 ppb
  • Inlet Total Organic Carbon: < 15 ppb

*1 BV (Bed Volume) = 1 m³ solution per m³ resin
