Summary

Product identification

  • Product Name: AMBERLITE™ FPC22 H
  • Product Type: Food Grade Strong Acid Cation Exchanger
  • Intended Applications: Sweetener Deashing, Biopharmaceutical Applications

Description

AMBERLITE FPC22 H is a premium grade, macroreticular, strong acid, cation exchange resin composed of sulfonic acid exchange sites on a crosslinked polystyrene matrix. Its optimized crosslinking provides excellent stability and resistance to chemical oxidation, mechanical, thermal, or osmotic shock.

It is specifically designed for:

  • Deashing of liquid sweeteners from various starch sources (corn, wheat).
  • Use in fixed beds, moving beds, and mixed beds.
  • When combined with AMBERLITE FPA91 Cl, it is recommended for polishing mixed beds to remove trace contaminants affecting odor, off-flavors, and color stability in stored syrups (e.g., weak organic acids, nitrogen-containing compounds, HMF).
  • Capture of semi-synthetic peptides in biopharmaceutical processing. Its high porosity facilitates proteinaceous material removal and regeneration.
