*1 BV (Bed Volume) = 1 m³ solution per m³ resin
Hydraulic Characteristics
- Pressure drop: Approximately 15 kPa/m bed depth per 10 m/h at 15°C
- Backwash: 6 m/h flow rate gives approximately 65 % bed expansion at 15°C in water.
Applications
AMBERLITE IRA910 Cl resin is used in co-flow regeneration systems requiring severe specifications, such as very deep beds and treatment of highly saline solutions. It is also used in the sugar industry, typically mixed with a cationic resin, for mixed bed polishing of glucose syrups to remove the last traces of coloured bodies, weak acids, and hydroxymethyl-furfural.
