Product identification

AMBERLITE™ MB6113 is an industrial-grade, non-regenerable, mixed-bed ion exchange resin. It is a mixture of a strongly acidic cation exchanger and a strongly basic type 1 anion exchanger. The resin is supplied in the regenerated form and includes a color indicator to visualize the exhaustion point. AMBERLITE MB6113 cannot be regenerated after exhaustion.

Performance

  • Operating capacity: The following formula approximates the volume of water that can be treated: $$ \text{BV} = \frac{550}{\text{TDS}} $$ Where BV is the number of liters of water (with TDS in meq/L) that can be demineralized by one liter of resin mixture until exhaustion.
  • Treated water conductivity:
    • In polishing applications with feed water < 10 µS/cm, expect treated water < 0.1 µS/cm.
    • With feed water up to 500 µS/cm, expect treated water < 1 µS/cm.

Limits of Use

AMBERLITE MB6113 resin is suitable for industrial applications. For specific applications such as pharmaceutical, food processing, or potable water, consult Rohm and Haas for resin selection and operating conditions.
