Hydraulic Characteristics

Typical values for pressure drop and bed expansion as a function of flow rate and temperature are presented in the original document's Figures 1 and 2, respectively. Caution should be exercised to prevent bed loss due to over-expansion.

Precautions

  • Store resins in sealed containers above 0°C in dry conditions, away from direct sunlight.
  • Avoid mixing ion exchange resins with strong oxidizing agents due to potential for violent reactions.
  • In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and consult a specialist.
  • Dispose of materials and samples according to local regulations.
  • Dry polymers will expand when wetted, which may cause an exothermic reaction.
  • Spilled materials can be slippery.
