T-56 H UPS is a premium grade, gel-type, strong acid cation exchange resin in hydrogen form. It is a polystyrene copolymer with a sulfonic functional group.

Operating limits

  • Backwash expansion space: 40 – 75%
  • Backwash flow rate for 40-70% expansion: 9 – 20 m³/hr/m³

Regeneration

  • Regenerant: HCl or H₂SO₄
  • Regeneration level: 30 to 160 g HCl / lit or 40 to 250 g H₂SO₄ / lit
  • Regenerant concentration: 3 – 5% HCl or 1.5 – 4% H₂SO₄
  • Regeneration flow rate: 2 to 16 m³/hr/m³
  • Regeneration time: 30 to 60 min
  • Rinse flow rate:
    • Slow: At regeneration flow rate
    • Fast: At service flow rate

Feed water limitations

  • Free chlorine: Not traceable
  • Turbidity: Less than 2 NTU
  • Iron and heavy metals: Less than 0.1 ppm

Packaging

Available in Super Sack (1000 lit / 35 cft), MS drums (180 lit), Fiber Drums (7 cft), and HDPE Lined Bags (25 lit / 1 cft).
