Operation
Fixed Speed Pump Units (BSF, BS.F, BS1-6F)
These units feature automatic operation with an electronic card in the control panel managing pump operation and changeover of the starting sequence. The system stops if there is no air in the tank (patented system). Pumps start in a cascade sequence based on signals from pressure switches.
New Electrical Control Panels for Fixed Speed Units: Equipped with electronic cards and microprocessors for managing pump operation, performing continuous security checks, and incorporating necessary functions to reduce electrical and electronic components.
- Key Functions:
- Pumps start in a cascade sequence according to water demand.
- Changeover of pump starting sequence.
- Delayed start-up of 2nd/3rd pump in case of pressure switch 1 breakdown or power cut.
- Avoids pump starting in case of water hammering.
- Activates alarm when pressure 1 fails.
- Activates alarm when air cushion in the vessel drops.
- Stops the pump when the air cushion is over.
- Signals (on electronic card front): Power on, No water, Failure, Pump running, Thermal block, Pump automatic operation, Pump stop.
- Controls (on electronic card front): AUT-STOP push-button (1 per pump), MAN push-button (1 per pump), RESET push-button.
- Optional Remote Control: RA 100 panel for remote warning light and acoustic signal.
- Multi-Pump Control: MPS 6000 electronic card can control up to 6 fixed speed pumps with a single pressure calibration.
- Automatic Air Supply: Microprocessor-controlled systems for automatic air supply in pressure vessels via compressor or solenoid valve.
- Operation Logic:
- For 1 to 3 pumps: Pressure switches initiate cascade starting; microprocessor alternates starts.
- For 4, 5, 6 pumps: Microprocessor control with signal from a pressure transducer; pumps operate with only one pressure setting.
Variable Speed Pump Units with Frequency Converter (BSV.F, BS.V, BS1-6V)
These units are essential where constant pressure is required and for controlling high-pressure pumps. The MPS 4000 (Multi Pumps System) electronic card with microprocessor manages and controls all working phases, operating up to 6 pumps simultaneously.
- Key Features:
- Constant Pressure: Guaranteed by variable speed pumps; fixed speed pumps activate when demand exceeds variable pump capacity.
- Display: Calibration parameters and fault messages appear on the MPS 4000 display.
- Remote Control: Possible via a special computer program or RA 100 panel for warning lights and acoustic signals.
- Pressure Control: All pumps can work at the same set pressure, or pressure can be increased for systems with high head losses.
- Silent Operation: Achieved by motors working at reduced speed and gradually closing check valves.
- Long Pump Life: Variable speed operation minimizes stress on mechanical components.
- Energy Savings: Motors consume only the precise power level required.
- Reduced Vessel Requirement: Inverters eliminate the need for high-capacity pressure vessels; only a small number of 20 litre membrane vessels are needed.
- Versatility: MPS 4000 card allows for special units with customized operational logics.
- Operation: One or more variable speed pumps activate based on water consumption to maintain set pressure and required water quantity.
