Summary

Product identification

Calpeda NM and NMD series are close-coupled centrifugal pumps with threaded ports, designed for fluid transfer applications.

  • NM: Single-impeller models.
  • NMD: Models with two back-to-back impellers for axial thrust balancing.
  • Connections: Threaded ports ISO 228/1 (BS 2779).
  • Construction Versions:
    • NM, NMD: Pump casing and lantern bracket in cast iron.
    • B-NM, B-NMD: Pump casing and lantern bracket in bronze.
    • Pumps are supplied fully painted.

Applications

These pumps are suitable for clean, non-abrasive, and non-aggressive liquids (solids content up to 0.2%). Typical applications include:

  • Water supply
  • Heating, air-conditioning, cooling, and circulation plants
  • Civil and industrial applications
  • Fire fighting applications
  • Irrigation

Performance

The datasheet includes detailed performance tables listing rated motor power output (P2 in kW and HP), flow rate (Q in m³/h and l/min), and total head (H in m) for various NM and NMD models. It also provides rated currents (IN A, IA/IN) for single-phase and three-phase motors. Extensive characteristic curves and coverage charts are presented graphically.

See the official PDF for exact tabulated values and graphical performance data.

Dimensions and weights

Detailed tables provide dimensions (e.g., a, fM, h1, h2, H, m1, m2, n1, n2, n3, b, s, l1, l2, w, g1, DN1, DN2 in mm) and weights (kg) for each specific NM and NMD model.

See the official PDF for exact tabulated values.

Features

  • Compact Design: Allows for easy installation in confined spaces.
  • Robust: Hydraulic parts in contact with the pumped liquid are dimensioned for maximum resistance to mechanical stress.
  • Unique Design (Lantern Bracket): Prevents contact with rotating parts, providing user protection while allowing mechanical seal inspection.
  • Reliable: Bearing and shaft design ensures stress reduction and high reliability under all operating conditions.
  • Flexible (NMD series): Option for cast iron or bronze hydraulic parts allows selection for different liquid types.
