Operating Limits

Specifications are based on cold water (15 °C) at 1 bar atmospheric pressure, guaranteed according to UNI/ISO 9906 Grade 2B. Grade 1B performance can be guaranteed on demand. The pumps are designed for liquids with a volume mass of 1 kg/dm³ and kinematic viscosity not exceeding 1 mm²/s.

  • Maximum content of solid substances (slime grain size hardness): 20 g/m³
  • Maximum working pressure (max. suction pressure of 16 bar + max. pump manometric head) at 40 °C liquid temperature:
    • HVU18÷50: 30 bar
    • HV65: 24 bar (or 24/28 bar with high pressure mechanical seal)
    • HV80: 22 bar (or 20/25 bar with high pressure mechanical seal)
  • Maximum working pressure (max. suction pressure of 12 bar + max. pump manometric head) at max. liquid temperature:
    • HVU18÷50: 24 bar
    • HV65: 24 bar (or 16/19 bar with high pressure mechanical seal)
    • HV80: 22 bar (or 14/17 bar with high pressure mechanical seal)
  • Maximum temperature of pumped liquid:
    • HVU18÷50: 70/90 °C (90 °C with special gland packing for high temperature)
    • HV65-80: 90 °C (with special gland packing for high temperature)
  • Maximum operating time with closed discharge and liquid at 40 °C:
    • HVU18÷50: 6 min
    • HV65: 5 min
    • HV80: 4 min
  • Maximum operating time with closed discharge and maximum raised liquid temperature:
    • HVU18÷50: 4 min
    • HV65: 4 min
