- Production week/year and number (Prod.)
This version of the manual is valid for ECO-Control software version 3.9/4.1 (from 08/2013).
Operating Limits
The break-unit ECO is designed for pressure boosting in (process) water installations and for pumping liquids with a viscosity identical to water. It is intended for indoor installation only.
- Environment temperature: +4 to 30 °C
- Fluid temperature: +4 to 30 °C
- Maximum working pressure: 600 kPa
- Minimum supply pressure: Minimum such that the supply capacity is in balance with the demand.
- Maximum supply pressure: 250 kPa (on float valve)¹
- ¹A pressure reducing device may be required.
- Pressure class: PN10
- Maximum height: 1000 m above NAP (Dutch sea level reference)
Feed Water
The system is designed to prevent water from flowing back into the public water supply network. It is mandatory when the water consumer works with substances dangerous to public health, complying with water work sheets WB 3.8 class AB and EN 13077. A filter in the supply line is recommended in case of contamination.
Electrical
The ECO-Control unit is designed for a single pump.
- Power supply: 1x230 V 50 Hz
- Maximum fuse protection: 16 A slow
- Pump motor maximum: 1.1 kW – 1x230 V
- Control current protection: Electronic fuse
- Pump short-circuit protection: 2x 10 A slow glass fuses (20x5 mm)
- Earthing: Permanent earthing required.
- Safety: Use of an earth leakage circuit breaker is recommended.
- Hazardous areas: Not developed for and must NOT be installed in hazardous areas.
Inputs (analog and digital):
- 1x analog input 4-20 mA (16 Vdc for pressure sensor in pressure control mode (Par.0=1) / 1.2 Vdc for control in flow control (Par.0=2))
- 1x digital input for RDP (dry-running protection)
- 1x digital input for klixon connection (thermal protection)
- 1x digital input for fire alarm switching
Outputs (digital):
- 1x digital output for pump control (1x230 V – 7.20 A)
- 1x digital output for external potential-free alarm signaling (max. 50 Vac – 1.00 A)
Mechanical / Hydraulic
The installation is identified as HUV1 DPVCI AB ECO-Control.
Installation requirements:
- Clean, dry, dust-free, frost-free, and well-lit space.
- Sufficient space for accessibility.
- Adequate height for the installation space.
- Provision for draining any released water without nuisance.
- System must be free from walls.
- Space designated for technical equipment and secured against unauthorized access.
- Supply and discharge lines must be connected tension-free, preferably with a pipe compensator.
- An optional leak water collection tray can be connected to a drain line.
- Optional wall mounting set available.
Dimensions:
- For the HUV1 DPVCI 40 L HDPE AB installation and the ECO-Control unit, see the official PDF for exact dimensions and drawings.

Alarm Codes
The system provides various alarm codes for conditions such as high/low motor current, activated fire alarm, dry-running protection, temperature input, pressure sensor fault, and high/low system pressure. The lowest alarm code always has priority. See the official PDF for exact tabulated values, auto-reset/manual reset behavior, and pump/alarm relay states.
