DPNL In-line centrifugal pump

PDF datasheet mirror for DPNL In-line centrifugal pump (Duijvelaar Pumps). Verify with OEM before design.

Summary

Product identification

The DPNL series are vertical single-stage, non-self-priming centrifugal in-line pumps manufactured by DP-Pumps. They feature a "Back Pull Out Design" allowing for impeller, shaft, and other rotating parts to be removed without disconnecting suction and delivery pipes. The pumps are close-coupled to the motor with a rigid coupling.

They are designed for use in:

  • Water networks and pressurization facilities
  • Irrigation, sprinkling, and drainage systems
  • Filling and draining of tanks and reservoirs
  • Hot and cold water circulation in heating and cooling systems
  • Condense water pumping
  • Water circulations in pools
  • Health and purification facilities
  • Industrial and social facilities
  • Fresh and sea water pumping in ships

The pumps comply with DIN 24255 standards within their nominal capacity range and are declared in accordance with EN 809/A1, Machine Directive 2006/42/EC, EMC Directive 2004/108/EC, and Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC (Regulation 547/2012 for water pumps with a maximum shaft power of 150 kW).

Operating limits

  • Liquid Temperature: Up to 90°C
  • Discharge Pressure: Must not exceed 10 bar (special order required for higher pressures)
  • Ambient Temperature: If the local ambient room temperature exceeds +40°C, suitable ventilation must be provided.
  • Minimum Efficiency Index (MEI): See pump label. The reference value MEI for a water pump with the best efficiency is 0.70. MEI refers to the full impeller diameter.
  • Warranty: 24 months after delivery.

Feed water

The pumps are intended for liquids that are clean or mildly impure, non-abrasive, and do not contain large solid particles or fibre.

  • Density: Performance curves are valid for water with a density (ρ) of 1 kg/dm³.
  • Viscosity: Performance curves are valid for water with a viscosity (ν) of 1 cst.
    • For liquids with different densities and viscosities, consult DP-Pumps.

Electrical

The pump group is driven by a hermetic, 3-phase, totally enclosed, fan-cooled, squirrel-cage, IM 3611 V 18 type electrical motor, complying with DIN EN 60034-1, IEC, and VDE standards.

  • Isolation Class: F
  • Protection Class: IP 54-IP 55
  • Frequency: 50 Hz
  • Running Type: S1
  • Start-up Type:
    • 3x380 V(Y) up to 4 kW
    • More than 4 kW, 3x380(Δ) + (Y/Δ)
  • Motor Connection Diagram (U (Volt)):
    • 230/400V (Delta)
    • 400V (Star)
    • 3 x 230V (Delta)
    • 3 x 400V (Delta)
  • Motor Protection: A thermic or thermic-magnetic relay, adjusted to the nominal current of the motor, should be used for protection against overcharging and short circuit.

Mechanical / hydraulic

  • Pump Type: Single stage, in-line volute type pumps.
  • Suction Flange: DN 40-DN 250, DIN 2533-PN 16
  • Discharge Flange: DN 40-DN 250, DIN 2533-PN 16
  • Capacity: 2-700 m³/hour
  • Head: 2-70 m
  • Speed: 900-3600 rpm
  • Impeller: Closed radial type, dynamically balanced. Thrust (axial force) balanced with back wear ring and balance holes.
  • Bearings: Rolling bearings are not used; motor bearing is sufficient for axial and radial forces and is provided with lifelong heat-resistant grease.
  • Seals: Various mechanical seal types (e.g., bellow type, spring actuated type) are used for sealing. Mechanical seals are leak-proof and require less maintenance.
  • Coupling: Clamped type rigid coupling with a coupling guard provided in accordance with EN 294.
  • Shaft Runout: Maximum allowable shaft runout is 0.05 mm.
  • Noise Level (Sound Pressure Level (dB) measured at 1m):
    • Motor Power PN (kW) / 1450 rpm/min / 2900 rpm/min
    • < 0.55 / 63 / 64
    • 0.75 / 63 / 67
    • 1.1 / 65 / 67
    • 1.5 / 66 / 70
    • 2.2 / 68 / 71
    • 3 / 70 / 74
    • 4 / 71 / 75
    • 5.5 / 72 / 83
    • 7.5 / 73 / 83
    • 11 / 74 / 84
    • 15 / 75 / 85
    • 18.5 / 76 / 85
    • 22 / 77 / 85
    • 30 / 80 / 93
    • 37 / 80 / 93
    • 45 / 80 / 93
    • 55 / 82 / 95
    • 75 / 83 / 95
    • 90 / 85 / 95
    • These are maximum values, measured without a protective sound hood, at a distance of 1 m directly above the driven pump, in a free space above a sound reflecting surface. The surface noise pressure level in dB(A) complies with TS EN ISO 20361.
  • Pump Dimensions and Weights: See the official PDF for exact tabulated values.
