Summary

Product identification

The Duijvelaar Pumps Hydro-Unit Premium Line is a pressure booster system available in several configurations:

  • Hydro-Unit Premium Line DOL CC: Fixed speed pressure booster system with Megacontrol pump control.
  • Hydro-Unit Premium Line VFD CM CC: Variable speed pressure booster system with Megacontrol pump control, frequency inverter in the control cabinet.
  • Hydro-Unit Premium Line VFD MM CC: Variable speed pressure booster system with Megacontrol pump control, frequency inverter mounted on the IE5 motor.

These systems are designed for building services water supply.

Main applications

  • Pressure boosting

Fluids handled

  • Drinking water
  • Service water
  • Cooling water
  • Fluids not chemically or mechanically aggressive to the materials

Operating limits

  • Flow rate (Q): ≤ 65.4 m³/h (≤ 18.2 l/s) (for a system with three pumps without stand-by pump)
  • Head (H): ≤ 134 m
  • Fluid temperature: ≥ 0 °C to ≤ +60 °C
  • Operating pressure (p): ≤ 16 bar
  • Inlet pressure (pinl): ≤ 5 bar (contact manufacturer for higher inlet pressures)

Design details

The systems are compact, mounted on a common base frame, and feature one or more vertical high-pressure pumps. Hydraulic components are made of stainless steel / brass for high operating reliability.

Multiple pump system features:

  • Check valve per pump
  • Discharge-side gate valve per pump
  • Suction-side gate valve per pump

Drive and control:

  • Hydro-Unit Premium Line DOL CC: Power contactor per pump. Electric motors with Efficiency class IE3 to IEC 60034-30.
  • Hydro-Unit Premium Line VFD CM CC: One frequency inverter per pump, located in the control cabinet. Electric motors with Efficiency class IE3 to IEC 60034-30.
  • Hydro-Unit Premium Line VFD MM CC: One frequency inverter per pump, mounted on the motor. Magnetless synchronous reluctance motors with Efficiency class IE5 to IEC 60034-30.

Installation:

  • Stationary dry installation

Automation:

  • Control cabinet IP54 (sheet steel housing, RAL 7035)
  • Megacontrol micro-processor control unit
  • Graphical display with operating panel
  • Three LEDs signalling operating status (Green: ready, Yellow: warning, Red: alert)
  • Lockable master switch (repair switch)
  • Motor protection switch per pump
  • Service interface for Servicetool
  • Integral dry running protection via sensor
  • 2 volt-free contacts for reporting warnings and alerts

Functionality:

  • DOL CC: Controls and monitors 2 or 3 pumps. Pumps are sequenced in/out based on pressure demand, with automatic alternation for equal operating hours.
  • VFD CM CC, VFD MM CC: Controls and monitors one or more pumps, each with a frequency inverter, to ensure constant discharge pressure. Pumps are started/stopped automatically based on demand, with stand-by pump inclusion in the alternating cycle.
