Monitoring Systems: MAS 801 and MAS 711

The pump is designed to be used with MAS 801 or MAS 711 monitoring systems, which offer comprehensive pump protection and data analysis.

MAS 801 (Drive units up to 1 kV):

  • Signal cable: Built into the motor cable.
  • Standard monitoring: Pump Electronic Module (PEM), 1-phase pump current, vibration in three directions (built into PEM), float switch leakage sensor (FLS) in junction box and stator housing, Pt100 analog temperature sensor for main bearing and one stator winding, thermal contacts or PTC thermistors for stator winding temperature.
  • Optional monitoring: Pt100 analog temperature sensors for two additional stator windings and support bearing, capacitive leakage sensor (CLS) for water in oil (not applicable for EX drive units or drive units with internal closed-loop cooling), power monitoring via PAN 312 (three-phase power, power factor, system voltage, voltage imbalance, pump current, current imbalance).

MAS 711 (Drive units up to 1 kV):

  • Signal cable: Separate signal cable (12 or 24 leads) is needed.
  • Standard monitoring: Float switch leakage sensor (FLS) in junction box and stator housing, Pt100 analog temperature sensor for main bearing, thermal contacts or PTC thermistors for stator winding temperature, pump memory (printed circuit board with temperature sensor).
  • Optional monitoring (requires 24-lead signal cable for some options): Vibration (VIS 10), Pt100 analog temperature sensors for two additional stator windings and support bearing, capacitive leakage sensor (CLS) for water in oil (not applicable for EX drive units or drive units with internal closed-loop cooling), power monitoring via separate electronic instrument which uses three current transformers.
  • Pump current: A current transformer in the control cabinet is needed.

For Drive units 1.2–6.6 kV:

  • Both MAS 801 and MAS 711 are available with specific sensor configurations for stator winding temperature (e.g., PTC thermistors 3+3, Pt100 analog temperature sensors in all 3 stator windings 3+3). MAS 711 requires a 24-lead signal cable. See the official PDF for exact tabulated values.

Accessories and Options

  • Mechanical accessories: Cable handling systems, Lifting equipment.
  • Electrical accessories: Pump controller, Control panels, Starters, MAS and other monitoring relays.
  • Options: Zinc anodes for corrosion protection, Special coating system (with epoxy base coat) for demanding environments, Power monitoring, Monitoring options for temperature, vibration and water in the oil housing.
