Product identification

The P7045, P7050, and P7055 are large submersible propeller pumps designed for transporting large volumes of water at low heads. They are intended for column installation and feature a considerably smaller footprint than conventional pumps.

  • Applications: Clean, surface, or storm water. An N-version propeller design is available for pumping screened wastewater with sustained high efficiency.
  • Installation: L-installation.
  • Accessories:
    • Mechanical: Cable handling systems, Lifting equipment.
    • Electrical: Pump controller, Control panels, Starters, MAS and other monitoring relays.
  • Options: Zinc anodes for corrosion protection, Special coating system (with epoxy base coat) for demanding environments, Power monitoring, Monitoring options for temperature, vibration, and water in the oil housing.

Mechanical / hydraulic

  • Depth of immersion: The maximum depth of immersion is 20 m (65 ft.).

  • Pump (ball-) throughlet:
    • P7045: Max. 85 mm (3.34 in.)
    • P7050: Max. 80 mm (3.15 in.)
    • P7055: Max. 110 mm (4.33 in.)
  • Drive units: Maximum number of starts per hour is 15 for all P7045, P7050, and P7055 models (600 and 680 drive units).

Electrical

  • Cables: SUBCAB® cables are rated for a maximum voltage of 600–1000 V, intended for drive units up to 1 kV.
  • Motor characteristics:
    • Frequency: 50 Hz or 60 Hz
    • Stator insulation class: H (180°C [360°F])
    • Voltage variation: Max. +/- 10%
    • Voltage imbalance between the phases: 2%
    • Motor encapsulation: IP68
  • Monitoring systems:
    • P7055/680 (optional with MAS-711): Designed for use with Flygt MAS-711 monitoring system. Parameters tracked can include:
      • Temperature (main and support bearings, stator windings)
      • Vibration
      • Leakage (in stator housing, junction box, and water into oil chamber)
      • Power monitoring
    • Standard sensors (MAS-711): Pump memory (includes temperature sensor), Leakage in junction box (Float Switch Leakage Sensor - FLS), Main bearing temperature (Pt100 analogue temperature sensor), Leakage in stator housing (FLS), Stator winding temperature.
    • Optional sensors (MAS-711): Support bearing temperature (Pt100 analogue temperature sensor), Water in oil (Capacitive Leakage Sensor - CLS), Vibration (VIS 10), Power monitoring (separate electronic instrument using three current transformers).
    • Stator winding temperature monitoring configurations:
      • Up to 1 kV: Standard includes 3 thermal switches or optional 3 PTC-thermistors. Standard also includes a Pt100 analogue temperature sensor in 1 stator winding, with an optional Pt100 in 2 additional stator windings.
      • 1.2–6.6 kV: PTC-thermistors (3+3, with 3 built-in reserves). Pt100 analogue temperature sensors in all 3 stator windings (3+3, with 1 built-in reserve per winding).
    • Available monitoring systems (P7045, P7055):
      • MAS-711: Available for 680 drive units (partially available for P7055/680).
      • CAS: Available for 680 drive units (older pumps may be equipped). Replaced by MAS system.
      • MiniCAS: Available for 600 and 680 drive units.

Materials

  • Propeller:
    • P7050: Aluminum bronze (copper-aluminum alloy, EN 1982 No. CC333G / ASTM C95500) or Austenitic stainless steel (EN 10283 No. 1.4308 / ASTM A 743 CF-8).
    • P7045, P7055: Cast iron (EN 1561 No. JL 1040 / ASTM-A 48 – No 35 B).
  • Pump housing (P7045, P7050, P7055): Cast iron (EN 1561 No. JL 1040 / ASTM-A 48 – No 35 B).
  • Mechanical face seals:
    • Inner seal: Corrosion resistant cemented tungsten carbide (WCCR) for both rotating and stationary rings.
    • Outer seal: Can be either Corrosion resistant cemented tungsten carbide (WCCR) or Corrosion resistant silicon carbide (RSiC) for both rotating and stationary rings.
  • Drive unit shaft (P7045, P7050, P7055): Structural steel (EN 10025-2 Nos. 1.0045, 1.0553, 1.0577, 1.0596 / ASTM A572 Grade 50) or Duplex stainless steel (EN 10088-3 No. 1.4460 / ASTM/AISI 329).
  • O-rings: Nitrile rubber 70⁰ IRH.
  • Coating system:
    • Standard: Acrylic (waterborne) or alkyd (solventborne) basecoat, Oxirane ester 2–pack topcoat. Total dry film thickness 120–350 μm.
    • Special (option): Epoxy 2 layers basecoat, Oxirane ester 2–pack 1 layer topcoat. Total dry film thickness 350–700 μm.
    • Other coating systems are available for special requirements such as drinking water, high temperature, or erosion applications.
