CME-3

PDF datasheet mirror for CME-3 (Grundfos Pumps). Verify with OEM before design.

Summary

Product Identification

The Grundfos CME 3 is a horizontal, multistage centrifugal pump designed for 50/60 Hz operation. It is part of the broader CM and CME product line.

Variants include:

  • CME-A: Featuring cast iron (EN-GJL-200) construction.
  • CME-I: Featuring stainless steel (EN 1.4301/AISI 304) construction.
  • CME-G: Featuring stainless steel (EN 1.4401/AISI 316) construction.

Operating Limits

The 100% speed of CME pumps is approximately 3400 min⁻¹, irrespective of the input frequency.

The performance range for CM and CME pumps is illustrated with graphs showing Head (H) in meters and pressure (p) in kPa versus Flow Rate (Q) in m³/h and l/s. CME pumps offer an infinite number of performance curves between minimum and maximum limits, each representing a specific speed.

See the official PDF for exact tabulated values and performance curves.

Electrical

CME 3 pumps are available with various supply voltages and frequencies:

  • Single-phase:
    • 1 x 200-240 V, 50/60 Hz (supply voltage K)
    • 1 x 208-230 V, 50/60 Hz (supply voltage M)
  • Three-phase:
    • 3 x 380-480 V, 50/60 Hz (supply voltage L)
    • 3 x 460-480 V, 60 Hz (supply voltage N)
    • Note: Pumps for supply voltage I (3 x 400 V, 50/60 Hz) were noted as 60 Hz only, with a dual-frequency version expected in January 2011.

Typical motor output power (P2) values observed in the dimension tables include 0.55 kW, 1.10 kW, 1.50 kW, and 2.20 kW.

Mechanical / Hydraulic

The pumps are horizontal, multistage centrifugal units.
