Summary
Product identification
The Grundfos JP series jet pumps are self-priming, single-stage centrifugal pumps designed for water supply and transfer duties. They are suitable for home, garden, hobby, agriculture, horticulture, and small-scale service industries.
The pumps are available in two material variants:
- Material variant A: Features a composite cover plate, motor stool, and base plate in one unit, with a crosswise-fitted composite handle.
- Material variant B: Features a stainless steel cover plate, aluminum motor stool, and stainless steel base plate (separate parts), with a lengthwise-fitted composite handle, suitable for fixed installation.
Operating limits
- Flow, Q: Up to 117 l/min (7 m³/h)
- Head, H: Maximum 48 metres
- Operating pressure: Maximum 6 bar
- Suction lift: Maximum 8 metres (including suction pipe pressure loss at a liquid temperature of +20°C)
- Liquid temperature:
- Material variant A: 0°C to +40°C
- Material variant B: 0°C to +55°C
- Ambient temperature: Maximum +40°C
Feed water
Clean, thin, non-aggressive, and non-explosive liquids without solid particles or fibres.
- Use for unclean liquids (e.g., pool water) requires subsequent flushing with clean water.
- Must not be used for transfer of diesel oil or other oil-containing liquids.
Electrical
The pumps are directly coupled to a special fan-cooled asynchronous Grundfos motor.
- Single-phase motors have a built-in thermal switch and require no additional motor protection.
- Three-phase motors require external motor protection.
- Enclosure class: IP 44 (splash-proof)
- Insulation class: F

Mechanical / hydraulic
- Pump type: Self-priming, single-stage centrifugal pump.
- Ports: Axial suction port and radial discharge port, G 1 or Rp 1.
- Ejector: Built-in ejector with guide vanes for optimum self-priming properties. The ejector valve has two setting possibilities:
- Position 1 (Completely open ejector nozzle): Used for start-up when the suction pipe is empty and the pump is to be primed, maximum discharge pressure, maximum head and minimum flow, and pressure boosting (e.g., car washing).
- Position 2 (Completely closed ejector nozzle): Used for maximum flow at reduced pressure, maximum pump efficiency, low noise level, draining and similar tasks, and installations with positive head on the suction side.
- A plug allows only selection of position 1.

Presscontrol
Types PC 15 and PC 22 are available for automatic pump operation in minor water supply systems.
- PC 15: Preset cut-in pressure at 1.5 bar. Max. 13 m height difference between Presscontrol and highest tap point.
- PC 22: Preset cut-in pressure at 2.2 bar. Max. 20 m height difference between Presscontrol and highest tap point.
- Features a built-in flow valve and pressure switch for steady flow.
- Starts and stops the pump automatically according to demand.
- Built-in dry-running protection stops the pump after 10 seconds without water.
- Technical data: IP65, 230V~, 50-60Hz, Max 65°C, Max 1 MPa (10 bar), Max 16(8)A, Max 1.5 kW.
- Installation: Arrows on Presscontrol indicate flow direction and must point upwards. No tap points are allowed between pump and Presscontrol.
Diaphragm tank
Recommended for controlled pressure in water supply systems. Grundfos offers small booster sets with a jet pump and one of the following tanks:
