The Nocchi VLR series consists of vertical multi-stage centrifugal pumps featuring "in line" suction and delivery ports. These pumps are directly coupled with an electric motor and are non self-priming.

Models are identified by a symbol structure: VLR[T/M][F/A/V][Rated flow rate in m³/h][No. of stages X 10][X/I].

  • T = Three phase
  • M = Single phase

  • V = With connectors for VICTAULIC joints
  • X = Materials used are AISI 316

    • VLR 2B, VLR 4, VLR 8: 16 bar (oval flanges); 25 bar (DIN flanges, max temp 40° C)
    • VLR 16: 25 bar (max temp 40° C); specific models (VLR16-30 to VLR16-100) rated at 25 bar (max temp 85° C); other specific models (VLR16-30 to VLR16-30) rated at 23 bar (max temp 120° C) or 21 bar (max temp 120° C)
    • VLR 32: 25 bar
    • VLR 46: 16 bar up to VLR 46-50; 25 bar up to VLR46-90; 40 bar up to VLR 46-130/2
    • VLR 66: 16 bar up to VLR 66-50; 25 bar up to VLR 66-80

  • Minimum suction head: NPSH plus safety margin of 0.5 m

Mechanical / hydraulic

General construction

The VLR series pumps are vertical multi-stage centrifugal pumps with "in line" suction and delivery ports. Impellers, diffusers, and external casing are made of stainless steel. The base, head, and lantern housing are constructed from cast iron. Models VLR 32, VLR 46, VLR 66, and VLR 92 are equipped with a mechanical cartridge seal for easier replacement.

  • Shaft: Stainless steel X2CrNiMo17-12-2 (AISI 316L), Stainless steel X17CrNi16-2 (AISI 316L), or Stainless steel X2CrNiMoN22-5-3 (AISI 316L)
  • Seals: EPDM

Flanges and connections

  • VLR 2B, VLR 4, VLR 8: "A" version models are supplied with oval 1" GAS flanges. "F" version models are supplied with round DIN flanges (counterflanges optional).
  • VLR 16, VLR 32: Flanges are DN50 PN25 DIN 2534/ISO 7005-2 (counterflanges optional).
  • VLR 46: Flanges are DN80, with pressure ratings varying by model: PN16 (VLR46-10/1, VLR 46-50); PN25 (VLR 46-60/2 to 46-90); PN40 (VLR 46-100 to 46-130/2). Counterflanges are optional.
  • VLR 66, VLR 92: Flanges are DN100, with pressure ratings varying by model: PN16 or PN25. Counterflanges are optional.

Electrical

  • Motor type: Electric asynchronous motor with closed casing and external ventilation.
  • Standards: Main dimensions are in line with DIN and IEC standards.
  • Construction design: Up to 4.0 Kw V18; From 5.5 Kw V1.
  • Insulation class: F
  • Protection rating: IP 55
  • Rotation speed: 2900 rpm
  • Bearings: Oversized for optimal load support.
