- Star-delta starter for motors above 7.5 kW.
Control System
The booster sets are controlled by two differential pressure switches with adjustable settings, via an electrical panel with an analogue electronic board.
Main Functions:
- Sequential start-up of the pumps.
- Cyclic inversion of the pump start-up order after each cycle.
- Protection against dry running.
- Delayed start-up of the second pump if both pressure switches close simultaneously, to prevent abrupt pressure changes and power supply overload.
- ON/OFF control of tank level (via float switch) or supply duct pressure (via differential pressure switch).
Single-Phase Electrical Panel:
- Components: Main circuit breaker, SML electronic board, pump start-up relay, manual-automatic buttons for each pump.
- Signals and Controls (LED indicators): Power presence, low water level/insufficient supply pressure, operation of each pump.
- External Control Devices: Two adjustable differential pressure switches ON/OFF, ON/OFF float switch, or reverse pressure switch.
Three-Phase Electrical Panel:
- Components: Main switch, SA electronic board, fuses, contactor and thermal relay for each pump, transformer with fuses for auxiliary circuit, M-0-T switch for each pump.
- Signals and Controls (LED indicators): Power presence, low water level/insufficient supply pressure, operation of each pump, thermal relay tripped (overload), manual or automatic operation.
- User Interface: Buttons to select manual or automatic control, and to start or stop each pump (manual operation).
- External Control Devices: Two adjustable differential pressure switches ON/OFF, ON/OFF float switch, 3 electrodes for electronic tank level control, or reverse pressure switch.
Performance and Dimensions
Detailed performance curves, head-flow tables, and overall dimensions (L1, P1, P2, H1, H2/H3, F, L2 in mm) and weights (Kg) are available for various models within the PVM 3, PVM 5, PVM 10, PVM 15, PVM 20, and PVM 32 series. See the official PDF for exact tabulated values.
