Summary

Product Identification

  • Product Name: Solenoid Metering Pump gamma/ X, GMXa

  • Document Revision: BA G 052 02/17 EN

Operating Limits

Performance Data

Performance data for various pump types, including standard and self-bleeding dosing heads (SER3 and SEK3), are provided. Values are calculated with water as the medium at 20 °C and 200 strokes/minute at 100% stroke length.

  • Pump Capacity: Ranges from 2.05 l/h to 45.0 l/h (standard liquid end).
  • Connector Size (outside Æ x inside Æ): Varies by model, e.g., 6x3 mm, 6x4 mm, 8x5 mm, 12x9 mm.
  • Suction Lift: Up to 6.0 m WS (standard liquid end).
  • Priming Lift: Up to 3.0 m WS (standard liquid end).
  • Max. Priming Pressure on Suction Side: Up to 5.5 bar (standard liquid end).

Note: The capacity can significantly fall at pressures above the nominal pressure. Suction lift is with a filled suction line and liquid end; with self-bleeding dosing head, it's with air in the suction line. Priming lift is with clean and moist valves, at 100% stroke length and free outlet or opened bleed valve. See the official PDF for exact tabulated values for all pump types and configurations.

Accuracy

  • Standard Liquid End:
    • Capacity range of the series: -5 ... +10 % (at max. stroke length and max. operating pressure for all material versions)
    • Reproducibility: ±2 % (at constant conditions and min. 30 % stroke length)
  • Self-Bleeding Liquid End: No dosing accuracy or reproducibility can be provided due to use with outgassing media and air bubbles. The recommended minimum stroke length is 50 %.

Viscosity

The liquid ends are suitable for the following viscosity ranges:

  • Standard: 0 ... 200 mPas
  • With valve springs: 200 ... 500 mPas
  • With HV head: 500 ... 3000 mPas (can be significantly higher with corrected adjusted installation)
  • Self-bleeding (SEK): 0 ... 50 mPas

Temperatures

  • Storage and transport temperature: -20 ... +50 °C
  • Ambient temperature in operation (power end/drive and control): -10 ... +45 °C
  • Medium temperature: -10 °C ... see table below for material versions:
    • PP: Long term 50 °C, Temporary 100 °C
    • NP: Long term 45 °C, Temporary 60 °C
    • PV: Long term 50 °C, Temporary 120 °C
    • SS: Long term 50 °C, Temporary 120 °C
    • TT: Long term 50 °C, Temporary 120 °C
    • Temporary max. temp. is for 15 min at max. 2 bar, depending on ambient temperature.

Climate

  • Maximum air humidity: 95 % relative humidity (non-condensing)
  • Test: Humid heat, cyclical in accordance with EN 680068-2-30: 2005

Degree of Protection and Safety Requirements

  • Protection against contact and humidity: IP 66 according to DIN EN 60529 with contamination level 2
  • NEMA Rating: NEMA 4X / indoor as per NEMA 250
  • Degree of protection: 1 - mains power connection with protective earth conductor

Sound Pressure Level

  • LpA < 70 dB according to EN ISO 20361 (at maximum stroke length, maximum stroke rate, maximum back pressure with water).

Electrical

  • Pump Design: 100 - 230 V ±10%, 50/60 Hz
  • Electrical Data by Model:
    • M70:
      • Nominal power, approx.: 25 W (rises by 1 W with relay closed)
      • Current I eff: 0.25 ... 0.10 A
      • Switch on peak current (for 3 ...5 ms): 20 A
      • Fuse: 2.5 AT
    • M85:
      • Nominal power, approx.: 30 W (rises by 1 W with relay closed)
      • Current I eff: 0.30 ... 0.12 A
      • Switch on peak current (for 3 ...5 ms): 20 A
      • Fuse: 2.5 AT
