The ProMinent Beta® b solenoid metering pumps are available in BT4b and BT5b models.

Operating Limits

Performance Data

Performance data varies significantly by pump type (e.g., 1000, 0700, 2001, 0232) and liquid end configuration (standard or self-bleeding). Key parameters include:

  • Minimum pump capacity at maximum back pressure (l/h, ml/stroke)
  • Minimum pump capacity at medium back pressure (l/h, ml/stroke)
  • Connector size (outside Æ x inside Æ mm)
  • Suction lift* (m WS)
  • Priming lift** (m WS)
  • Maximum priming pressure on suction side (bar)

* Suction lift is specified with a filled suction line and filled liquid end, or with air in the suction line for self-bleeding dosing heads. ** Priming lift is specified with clean and moist valves, at 100 % stroke length and free outlet or opened bleed valve. *** Performance data for self-bleeding dosing heads constitutes guaranteed minimum values, calculated using medium water at room temperature. The bypass connection with a self-bleeding dosing head SEK is 6x4 mm. Metering pumps with dosing heads for higher-viscosity media have a 10-20 % lower metering capacity and are not self-priming.

See the official PDF for exact tabulated values for each pump type.

Accuracy

  • Standard Liquid End:
    • Capacity range of the series: -5 ... +10 % (at max. stroke length and max. operating pressure for all material versions)
    • Reproducibility: ±2 % (at constant conditions and min. 30 % stroke length)
  • Self-Bleeding Liquid End: No dosing accuracy or reproducibility can be provided when used with outgassing media and when operating with air bubbles. The recommended minimum stroke length is 50 %.

Viscosity

Liquid ends are suitable for the following viscosity ranges:

  • Standard: 0 ... 200 mPas
  • With valve springs: 200 ... 500 mPas
  • Self-bleeding (SEK): 0 ... 50 mPas
  • HV (highly viscous): 500 ... 3000 mPas (only when installation is correctly adjusted)

Temperatures

  • Storage and transport temperature: -20 ... +60 °C
  • Ambient temperature in operation (drive and control): -10 ... +45 °C
  • Liquid end temperature (long-term*): -10 ... +45 °C
  • Liquid end temperature (short-term*):
    • PPT: 100 °C
    • NPT: 60 °C
    • PVT: 120 °C
    • TTT: 120 °C
    • SST: 120 °C * Long-term at max. operating pressure, dependent on ambient and feed chemical temperatures. Short-term for 15 min at max. 2 bar, dependent on ambient and feed chemical temperatures.

Climate

  • Maximum air humidity: 95 % rel. humidity (non-condensing)
  • Exposure in a humid and alternating climate: FW 24 according to DIN 50016
