Summary

Product identification

The product is a Hydro-Unit Break-Unit DPVCI ECO-Control from Duijvelaar Pompen. The control unit is designated ECO-Control.

The identification sticker includes:

  • HUV1 DPVCI 2/5(12) B: Installation type
  • ECO CONTROL: Controller type and startup method
  • ID: Article number
  • App.: Material of appendage and connection size
  • Con.: Material of piping and connection size
  • RDP: Dry-running protection type
  • PO: Order number
  • U: Installation supply voltage
  • F: Installation frequency
  • Imax: Maximum current consumption of the installation
  • PN: Installation pressure class and design
  • Prod.: Production week/year and number

This version of the manual is valid for ECO-Control software version 3.9 and later (from 08/2013).

Operating limits

  • Environment temperature: +4 to 30 °C
  • Fluid temperature: +4 to 30 °C
  • Maximum working pressure: 600 kPa
  • Minimum supply pressure: Minimum such that the supply capacity is in equilibrium with the demand.
  • Maximum supply pressure: 250 kPa (on float valve)
  • Pressure class: PN10
  • Maximum height: 1000 m above NAP (Dutch ordnance datum)
  • Installation: For indoor use only.

Feed water

The break-unit ECO is suitable for pressure boosting in (process) water installations and for pumping liquids with a viscosity identical to water, within the specified operating range. It is installed to prevent backflow from the system into the public water supply network, as required by water work sheets (WB 3.8 class AB) and EN 13077, especially when the water consumer works with substances dangerous to public health.

Electrical

The ECO-Control unit is designed for:

  • Power supply: 1x230 V 50 Hz
  • Maximum pre-fuse: 16 A slow
  • Pump output: 1x230 V – 7.20 A (for motors up to 1.1 kW – 1x230 V)
  • External alarm output: 1x digital output, potential-free (max. 50 Vac – 1.00 A)
  • Control current protection: Electronic fuse
  • Pump short-circuit protection: 2x 10 A slow glass fuses (20x5 mm)
  • Safety: Requires permanent earthing; use of an earth leakage circuit breaker is recommended.
  • Hazardous areas: Not developed for and must NOT be installed in hazardous areas.

Mechanical / Hydraulic

  • Connections: G 1 BI (supply), G 1/2 (drain, from diagram).
  • Dimensions (HUV1 DPVCI 40 L HDPE AB): Overall dimensions are provided in a diagram. See the official PDF for exact tabulated values and a detailed drawing. Key dimensions shown include: 671, 50, 56, 205, 600, 300, 727, 100, 240, 802, 57 (units implied as mm).
  • Dimensions (ECO-Control): Overall dimensions are provided in a diagram. See the official PDF for exact tabulated values and a detailed drawing. Key dimensions shown include: 120, 160, 100 (units implied as mm).
  • Installation recommendations:
    • Manometers are advised on supply and discharge lines.
    • A filter is recommended in the supply line if contamination is present.
    • Pipe compensators are recommended for supply and discharge lines.
    • Supply pipe diameters should be adequately sized.
    • Optional leak water collection tray and wall mounting kit are available.

Control Parameters

The ECO-Control unit is pre-programmed with factory settings. Key adjustable parameters include:

  • Pompregeling (Pump control):
    • Range: 1-4
    • Default: 4 (Break-unit)
  • Wenswaarde systeemdruk (Desired system pressure):
    • Range: 0-9.9
    • Default: 2.8 bar
  • Bandbreedte drukregeling (Pressure control bandwidth):
    • Range: 0-9.9
    • Default: 0.3 bar
  • Grenswaarde hogedrukalarm (High pressure alarm limit):
    • Range: 0-9.9
    • Default: 9.9 bar
  • Grenswaarde lagedrukalarm (Low pressure alarm limit):
    • Range: 0-9.9
    • Default: 1.0 bar
  • Max aantal starts (Max number of starts):
    • Range: 0-99
    • Default: 20 n/uur (starts/hour)
  • Minimale draaitijd (Minimum run time):
    • Range: 0-99
    • Default: 60 sec
  • Nominale motorstroom (Nominal motor current):
    • Range: 0-9.9
    • Default: Inom Amp (from motor nameplate)

Alarm Codes

The system provides various alarm codes for different operational issues (e.g., motor current too high/low, dry-running protection, pressure sensor fault, high/low discharge pressure). The lowest alarm code always has priority. See the official PDF for a complete list of alarm codes, their descriptions, and reset behaviors.
