DPV Vertical centrifugal pumps

PDF datasheet mirror for DPV Vertical centrifugal pumps (Duijvelaar DP Pumps). Verify with OEM before design.

Summary

Product Identification

The DPV series are vertical, single or multi-stage centrifugal pumps designed for pumping clean or lightly aggressive watery mediums. They feature in-line suction and discharge connections for easy installation, and the hydraulic assembly is driven by an electric motor. All hydraulic parts are constructed from stainless steel.

The series includes models: DPV(C/S) 2, 4, 6, 10, 15, 25, 40, 60, 85, 125.

A model key example, DPVSF 85/3-1 B, indicates:

  • DP: Product Label
  • VS: All wetted parts Stainless Steel 1.4401 / AISI 316
  • F: Round flange connections
  • 85: Capacity in m³/h at Q.opt.
  • /3: Number of stages
  • -1: Number of stages of which one stage with reduced head
  • L: Impeller low NPSH (models 2, 4, 6, 10 and 15)
  • B: Design version

Operating Limits

  • Ambient temperature: -20 up to 40 °C
    • Note: If ambient temperature exceeds this value or the motor is located more than 1000 m above sea level, motor cooling may be less effective, potentially requiring an adapted motor power.
  • Minimum inlet pressure: NPSHreq. + 1m
  • Viscosity: 1-100 cSt
    • Note: Deviation in viscosity and/or density could require an adapted motor power.
  • Density: 1000-2500 kg/m³
  • Cooling: Forced motor cooling
    • Note: The free space above the motor cooling fan must be at least 1/4 of the diameter of the inlet of the cooling fan for sufficient airflow.
  • Minimum frequency: 30 Hz
  • Maximum frequency: 60 Hz
    • Note: Pumps that are intended for 50 Hz operation may not be connected to 60 Hz power supply.
  • Allowable size of solids pumped: 5µm to 1mm
  • Temperature range (basic pump model): -20 up to 140 °C (DPV 125 up to 120 °C)
  • VE casing (with non-return valve) max. temperature: 90 °C
  • Mono-block motor version VM max. fluid temperature: 60 °C

Feed Water

The pumps are designed for "clean, or lightly aggressive, watery mediums." Performance characteristics are based on:

  • De-aerated water at a temperature of 20 °C
  • Density of 1.0 kg/dm³
  • Kinematical viscosity of 1 mm²/s (1 cst)

Electrical

The pumps operate at 50 Hz (DIN/IEC). Performance with variable frequency drive is supported, with a minimum frequency of 30 Hz.

Rated Motor Speed at 50 Hz:

  • 0.37 and 0.55 kW: 2800 rpm (2P)
  • to 2.2 kW: 2880 rpm (2P)
  • to 4 kW: 2920 rpm (2P)
  • to 7.5 kW: 2940 rpm (2P)
  • to 22 kW: 2950 rpm (2P)
  • to 45 kW: 2960 rpm (2P)
  • 0.55 kW: 1450 rpm (4P)
  • 0.75 kW: 1440 rpm (4P)
  • to 2.2 kW: 1425 rpm (4P)
  • to 4 kW: 1450 rpm (4P)
  • to 7.5 kW: 1460 rpm (4P)

Pump Bearing:

  • Medium lubricated stage bearing
  • Tungsten Carbide against Ceramic

Connections:

  • E: Male thread (with non-return valve insert), G 6/4, Pressure Class PN16
  • Oval flange with female thread: G1, G 6/4, G 5/4, G 2, Pressure Class PN16
  • F (Round flange): NW25, NW32, NW40, NW50, Pressure Class PN40
  • V (Victaulic): Size 42.2, 60.3, Pressure Class PN40
  • T (Tri-clamp): Size DN32, Ø64, Pressure Class PN40

Measuring, Draining, and Venting: The pump is equipped with plugs for these functions:

  • Connection (E): G ¼ connection for draining inlet or measuring inlet/suction pressure.
  • Connection (F): G ¼ connection for draining outlet or measuring discharge pressure.
  • Connections (G): G 3/8 connection for venting when not in operation or measuring discharge pressure.

Minimum Capacity: To prevent overheating, gas gathering, or cavitation, a minimum capacity (Qmin) must be secured. This value corresponds to a percentage of the optimum flow (Qopt) in relation to the temperature of the liquid pumped.

  • Minimum capacity (Qmin) at 20 °C: See the official PDF for exact tabulated values for 50 Hz and 60 Hz (2 pole and 4 pole) across the DPV series.
  • Minimum capacity vs. temperature: See the official PDF for exact tabulated values (in % of Q optimum).

Performance Characteristics: Performance curves are provided in accordance with ISO 9906:2012 (Grade 3B). These curves detail hydraulic efficiency, NPSHreq, and shaft power.

Minimum Efficiency Index (MEI) for design version B:

  • DPV 2: MEI ≥ 0.70
  • DPV 4: MEI ≥ 0.70
  • DPV 6: MEI ≥ 0.70
  • DPV 10: MEI ≥ 0.70
  • DPV 15: MEI ≥ 0.40
  • DPV 25: MEI ≥ 0.70
  • DPV 40: MEI ≥ 0.70
  • DPV 60: MEI ≥ 0.70
  • DPV 85: MEI ≥ 0.60
  • DPV 125: MEI ≥ 0.70

Low NPSH Impeller Option: Available for DPH(S) I 2, 4, 6, 10, and 15 pump types. This solution, based on a new designed low NPSH impeller and modified stage casing, provides much better NPSH values throughout its raster, which can prevent cavitation in critical inlet conditions.

  • Benefits: More suitable in critical inlet conditions, easy adaption to non-optimized application parameters, and the suction lift (Hp) can be less critical.
  • Consequences: No change in pump height or connection, slight adjustments on the performance curve.

Dimensions: All dimensions are in mm, and weights are in kg. Detailed tables for VM closed coupled motor construction (IM 3619) and coupled motor construction (V18, V1) are provided in the official PDF for each DPV model, including power, E1, E2, P, F1, F2 dimensions, and mass. See the official PDF for exact tabulated values.

Approvals

  • CE: Conformity with European Safety Directive
  • ACS: Drinking Water Approval (F)
  • WRAS: Drinking Water Approval (GB)
  • ATEX: Conformity with “ATmosphères EXplosibles” Directive
