Feed water

The Heavy Duty DPV is designed for demanding operating conditions in applications such as boiler feed and RO, addressing major causes of pump failure:

  • Air in the medium (e.g., due to cavitation), which reduces lubricating properties.
  • Imbalance and vibrations from 'running off the graph' or cavitation.
  • Short dry running, leading to heating and wear.
  • Thermo shock, causing bearing material failure.
  • Extreme axial forces (upthrust) from sudden operation outside the graph.

A Low NPSH impeller in the first stage is standard for the Low NPSH-r version, providing greatly improved NPSH properties to prevent or delay cavitation.

Electrical

  • ATEX EEXe II T3/EEXd IIC T4 versions are available.
  • Various voltage versions are offered.

Mechanical / hydraulic

The Heavy Duty DPV is equipped as standard with:

  • Low NPSH impeller in the first stage.
  • Tough TUC/TUC bearings in a reinforced construction.
  • Cartridge mechanical seal, available in a number of material versions depending on the medium.

Other available options include:

  • Electrolytically polished and passivated hydraulic package.
  • Acceptance and test certificates (including 2.1; 2.2; 3.1 and LR, BV, ABS, DNV GL 3.2).
  • Seals with various certifications.
