The e-NSC Series consists of horizontal centrifugal electric pumps, compliant with ErP 2009/125/EC and equipped with IE3 motors for 50 Hz operation. The document revision is F, dated 03/2016.
These pumps are centrifugal end-suction electro-pumps, primarily single-stage (except for two-stage NSC2 models), featuring an axial flanged suction port, radial flanged discharge, and a horizontal shaft.
Available constructions include:
- Extended shaft (NSCE): Close-coupled via an adaptor bracket, with the impeller keyed directly to a special motor shaft extension.
- Frame mounted (NSCF): Flexible-coupled with a bracket, support, flexing coupling (spacer on demand), aligning, and anchoring base.
- Stub shaft (NSCS): Rigid-coupled with a bracket, adaptor, and a rigid coupling keyed to the standard motor shaft extension.
- Bare shaft pump (NSC): Version without a driver, suitable for coupling with a standard electric motor.
- Two impellers extended shaft (NSC2)
Discharge ports range from DN32 to DN300. For NSC2 models, suction is 2” and discharge is 1¼”.
Operating limits
- Fluid temperature range:
- Standard version (with mechanical seal BQ1EGG-WA and EPDM gasket): -25 to +120 °C.
- Versions on request (depending on mechanical seal and gasket): -20* or -25 to +120 or +140 °C. (*Fluoro-elastomer: FPM (old ISO), FKM (ASTM & new ISO)).
- Maximum operating pressure:
- Standard version (mechanical seal BQ1EGG-WA, cast iron casing): 16 bar @ 90 °C and 10 bar @ 120 °C.
- Version with other mechanical seal and cast iron casing: 16 bar @ 120 °C and 14.9 bar @ 140 °C.
- Version with cast ductile iron casing: 16 bar @ 120 °C and 15.6 bar @ 140 °C.
- Version with stainless steel casing: 16 bar @ 50 °C and 14.8 bar @ 140 °C.
- Version with duplex casing: 16 bar @ 140 °C.
- NSC2 models (mechanical seal BQ1EGG-WA, cast iron casing): 12 bar @ 110 °C and 10 bar @ 120 °C.

Electrical
- Motor type: Squirrel cage in short circuit enclosed construction with external ventilation (TEFC).

- Volute casing: Cast iron EN 1561 - GJL-250 (JL1040) / ASTM Class 35. For larger models (200-250, 200-315, 250/315, 150-500, 200-400, 200-500, 250-400, 250-500, 300-350, 300-400, 300-450) also Cast ductile iron EN 1563 - EN-GJS400-15 (EN-JS1030) / ASTM A536 40-60-18.
- Casing cover: Cast iron EN 1561 - GJL-250 (JL1040) / ASTM Class 35. For larger models, also Cast ductile iron EN 1563 - EN-GJS400-15 (EN-JS1030) / ASTM A536 40-60-18.
- Impeller:
- Sizes 32, 40, 50: Stainless steel EN 10088-1-X2CrNiMo17-12-2 (1.4404) / AISI 316L.
- Sizes 65, 80: Cast iron EN 1561 - GJL-200 (JL1030) / ASTM Class 30. Also available in Bronze EN 1982 - CuSn10-C (CC480K) / UNS C90700.
- Other sizes: Cast iron EN 1561 - GJL-200 (JL1030) / ASTM Class 30 or Bronze EN 1982 - CuSn10-C (CC480K) / UNS C90700.
- Shaft extension/Stub shaft/Shaft: Stainless steel EN 10088-1-X2CrNiMo17-12-2 (1.4404) / AISI 316L. For larger sizes (65-250, 80-200, 80-250, and 50-315 up to 300-450), Stainless steel EN 10088 - X17CrNi16-2 (1.4057) / AISI 431.
- Wear ring: Stainless steel EN 10088-X5CrNi18-10 (1.4301) / AISI 304.
- Impeller lock nut and washer: Stainless steel EN 10088-1-X5CrNiMo17-12-2 (1.4401) / AISI 316. For larger models, A4 (~1.4401).
- Impeller key: Stainless steel EN 10088-1-X2CrNiMo17-12-2 (1.4404) / AISI 316L. For larger models, EN 10088 - X6CrNiMo17-12-2 (1.4571) / AISI 316Ti.
- Fill and drain plugs: Nickel-plated brass EN 12164-CuZn39Pb3 (CW614N). For larger models, Stainless steel EN 10088 - X6CrNiMo17-12-2 (1.4571) / AISI 316Ti.
- O-Ring: EPDM (standard version).
- Mechanical seal: Carbon / Silicon carbide / EPDM (standard version).
- Motor adapter: Aluminium EN 1706-AC-AlSi11Cu2 (Fe) (AC46100) or Cast iron EN 1561 - GJL-250 (JL1040) / ASTM Class 35.
- Volute casing fastening bolts and screws: Galvanized steel. For larger models, Carbon steel.
- Gasket: Asbestos-free synthetic fiber AFM 34 (for larger models).
