Design Versions
- Type P, PA, MP 300 (Horizontal):
- Horizontal configuration with outer bearings on both sides.
- Drive side discharge, clockwise rotation (standard). Drive side suction and counter-clockwise rotation optionally available.
- Branch directions: suction left (viewed from drive end), discharge radially upwards (standard). Branches can be adjusted in 90° increments.
- Drive side thrust bearing (two angular contact ball bearings), suction side roller bearing (floating bearing).
- Oil lubrication with large oil sump.
- Thermal expansion of pump rotor is internally balanced.
- Maintenance-friendly design: bearings and shaft seal are maintainable without pump disassembly.
- Type PVa (Vertical):
- Vertical configuration with separate thrust bearing.
- Grease lubricated with grease nipples.
- Standard motor according to IEC, design V1, up to 315 kW.
- Flexible coupling between pump and motor.
- Medium lubricated friction bearing in suction casing.
- Maintenance-friendly design: bearings and shaft seal are maintainable without pump disassembly.
- Type PT (Vertical Wet Pit):
- Installation length: max. 10 m (at 1450 / 1750 rpm).
- Separate grease lubricated thrust bearing with grease nipples.
- Standard motor according to IEC, design V1.
- Flexible coupling between pump and motor.
- Drive and discharge branch always above liquid level.
- Medium lubricated friction bearings in pump body and shaft section (number depends on installation length).
- Suitable for variable speed control.
- Maintenance-friendly design.
- Suction bells, suction strainers, or foot valves available.
- Can design available for pumping hot or condensate media.
- Inducer design available for low NPSH applications.
Impellers and Casing
- Impellers (Sizes 84-254): Closed radial type, designed for casing wear ring on both sides. Axial thrust minimized by balance holes.
- Impellers (Size MP 300.1 and MP 300.2): Thrust balanced by a balancing drum.
- Diffusor and Casing Design:
- Sizes 84-104 P: One-piece design.
- Sizes 124 PA-254 P and MP 300.1, 300.2: Two-piece design for diffusor and stage casing.
Shaft Seal Options
- Seal chamber dimensions comply with ISO 3096. Mechanical seals complying with this standard and EN 12756, version "k" can be used.
- Internal flush system ensures optimum lubrication and cooling of seal faces.
- Mechanical Seals:
- Single mechanical seal, Design U (unbalanced).
- Single mechanical seal, Design B (balanced).
- Cartridge mechanical seals: Single (also with Quench), Double (with connection for external flush).
- Gland Packing: Available, but limited to max. 25 bar operation pressure.
Multioutlet Design
- Available for horizontal (PM, PMA) and vertical (PVAM) executions.
- Can be fitted with a random number of discharge branches, often used in fire fighting applications to serve different pressure zones.
