General Operating Notes
- A safety valve must be installed in accordance with guidelines for liquid spraying units, set so the admissible operating pressure cannot be exceeded by more than 10%.
- Pump operation without a safety valve, or any excess in temperature or speed limits, automatically voids the warranty.
- Even though SPECK-TRIPLEX pumps run almost pulsation-free, a pressure accumulator may be necessary depending on the unit's construction and operating conditions. Flexible pressure lines can achieve the same effect.
Feed water
SPECK TRIPLEX Plunger Pumps are suitable for pumping clean water and other non-aggressive or non-abrasive media with a specific weight similar to water.
- Prior to pumping any other media, a check must be made to establish whether standard and/or special-version pumps are suitable, considering pump performance and temperature values.
- Particular care must be taken when pumping warm water, ensuring that cavitation cannot occur.
Electrical
A general formula for calculating power is: kW = (P (bar) x Q (l/min)) / 475
Mechanical / hydraulic
Construction Characteristics
Particular features of the NP30 series are:
- Crankcase of solid aluminium-cast.
