PDF datasheet mirror for Speck P45 46 320 L (Speck Pumps). Verify with OEM before design.

Summary

Product identification

  • Series: P45 High-Pressure Plunger Pumps
  • Type: P45/46-320
  • Code No.: 00.5444

Operating limits

  • Pressure max: 320 bar
  • RPM max: 1000 min⁻¹
  • Water-Temp. max: 40 °C
  • NPSH Required: 7.9 mWs
  • Data provided is for intermittent operation; data for continuous operation is available on request.
  • Intermediate values for output/speed and pressure/output/kW can be established by linear extrapolation.
  • A safety valve must be installed, set so the operating pressure cannot be exceeded by more than 10%. Exceeding temperature or speed limits, or operating without a safety valve, voids the warranty.

Feed water

SPECK TRIPLEX Plunger Pumps are suitable for pumping clean water and other non-aggressive or abrasive media with a specific weight similar to water. Prior to pumping any other media, suitability and resistance of the pumps must be checked, considering pump performance and temperature values. Particular care must be taken when pumping warm water to ensure cavitation does not occur.

Product water

  • Output max: 46.0 l/min

Electrical

  • Power Consump.: 30.1 kW
  • General formula for calculating power: P (bar) x Q (l/min) = kW / 475

Mechanical / hydraulic

  • Plunger dia.: 22 mm
  • Stroke: 42 mm
  • Weight approx.: 62.5 kg

Construction Characteristics

  • Crankcase of solid sphero-cast-iron ensuring stability and vibration dampening.
  • Crankshaft and taper roller bearings together with plain bearing con rod all run in oil.
  • Solid ceramic plunger.
  • All gaskets in seal sleeves ensuring precise centring and easy replacement.
  • Identical suction and discharge valves, easily accessible.

Materials Used

  • Valve Casing: Stainless Steel – AISI 303
  • Plunger: Solid ceramic
  • Valves: Duplex-Steel / AISI 316TI
  • Sleeves: Nitrile with fabric reinforcing
  • Crankshaft: Drop-forged and case-hardened

Installation Notes

  • Despite almost pulsation-free operation, a pressure accumulator may be necessary depending on the unit's construction and overall operating conditions. Flexible pressure lines can achieve a similar effect.
  • Use of a pulsation damper significantly extends the life of the seals and bearings.
  • Cavitation must be avoided.
