Operating limits
Performance data provided is for intermittent operation. Data for continuous operation is available on request.
Intermediate values for output/speed and pressure/output/kW can be established by linear extrapolation. A general formula for calculating power is: P (bar) x Q (l/min) = kW / 475.
A safety valve must be installed according to guidelines for liquid spraying units, set so that the admissible operating pressure cannot be exceeded by more than 10%. Exceeding temperature or speed limits, or operating without a safety valve, voids the warranty.
Particular care is required when pumping warm water to prevent cavitation.

Feed water
SPECK TRIPLEX Plunger Pumps are suitable for pumping clean water and other non-aggressive or abrasive media with a specific weight similar to water. Prior to pumping any other media, suitability and resistance of the pumps (standard or special versions), considering performance and temperature values, must be checked.
Mechanical / hydraulic
Construction Characteristics:
- Crankcase of solid sphero-cast-iron ensuring high stability and vibration dampening.
- Crankshaft with taper roller bearings and plain bearing con rod, all running in oil.
- Solid ceramic plunger.
- Double plunger sealing.
- All gaskets held in seal sleeves for precise centring and easy replacement.
- Identical suction and discharge valves, easily accessible via plugs.
Materials Used:
- Valve Casing: Cast Bronze; P52/37 and P52/54 models have valve casings of stainless steel AISI 303.
- Special "R" versions of P52-series have valve casings and wetted parts of AISI 303.
- Special "RE" versions of P52-series have valve casings and wetted parts of AISI 316TI.
- P52/72, P52/100, and P52/120 "R" and "RE" versions have valve casings of AISI 316.
- Plunger: Solid ceramic.
- Valves: High-Grade Stainless Steel. P52/37 models use Duplex-Steel / AISI 316TI.
- Sleeves: Nitrile with fabric reinforcing. Special seals are available upon request.
- Crankshaft: Drop-forged and case-hardened.
