Summary

Product identification

  • High-Pressure Plunger Pumps, Series P62
  • Low Pressure, Stainless Steel
  • Type: P62/175-120RE
  • Code No.: 00.6632

Operating limits

  • Pressure max: 120 bar
  • RPM max: 800 min⁻¹
  • Water Temp. max: 30 °C
  • NPSH Required: 9.0 mWs
  • Data provided is for intermittent operation; data for continuous operation is available on request.
  • A safety valve must be installed in accordance with guidelines for liquid spraying units, set so that the admissible operating pressure cannot be exceeded by more than 10%.
  • Cavitation must be avoided.
  • Warranty is voided by pump operation without a safety valve or by any excess in temperature or speed limits.

Feed water

  • Suitable for pumping clean water and other non-aggressive or abrasive media with a specific weight similar to water.
  • Prior to pumping any other media, a check must be made to determine suitability and resistance of the pump (standard or special design), considering pump performance and temperature values.
  • Particular care must be taken when pumping warm water.

Electrical

  • Power Consumption: 41.6 kW
  • General formula for calculating power: P (bar) x Q (l/min) = kW / 475

Mechanical / hydraulic

  • Output max: 175.9 l/min
  • Plunger diameter: 45 mm
  • Stroke: 48 mm
  • Weight approx.: 140 kg
  • Construction Characteristics:
    • Crankcase of solid sphero-cast-iron ensuring high stability and vibration dampening.
    • Crankshaft with taper roller bearings and plain bearing con rod, all running in oil.
    • Solid ceramic plunger.
    • Double plunger sealing.
    • All gaskets held in seal sleeves ensuring precise centring and easy replacement.
    • Identical suction and discharge valves, easily accessible over plugs.
  • Materials Used:
    • Valve Casing: AISI 316L (1.4404)
    • Plunger: Solid ceramic
    • Valves: Duplex-Steel / AISI 316Ti (1.4571)
    • Sleeves: Nitrile (NBR) with fabric reinforcing
    • Crankshaft: Drop-forged and case-hardened
  • Installation Notes:
    • Even though SPECK-TRIPLEX P62 pumps run almost pulsation-free, a pressure accumulator may be necessary depending on the construction of the unit and operating conditions.
    • The same effect as a pressure accumulator can also be achieved by using flexible pressure lines.
    • Use of a pulsation damper adds considerably to the life of the seals and bearings.
