Summary
Product identification
- SPECK TRIPLEX High-Pressure Plunger Pumps, Series P62.
- Available models:
- P62/50-420R (Code No. 00.6814)
- P62/70-300 (Code No. 00.6815)
Operating limits
- Data provided is for intermittent operation; data for continuous operation is available on request.
- A safety valve must be installed in accordance with guidelines for liquid spraying units, set so that the admissible operating pressure is not exceeded by more than 10%. Pump operation without a safety valve, or any excess in temperature or speed limits, automatically voids the warranty.
- Particular care must be taken when pumping warm water, making absolutely sure that cavitation cannot occur.

Intermediate values for output/speed and pressure/output/kW can be established by linear extrapolation.
Feed water
- SPECK TRIPLEX Plunger Pumps are suitable for pumping clean water or other non-aggressive or abrasive media with a specific weight similar to water.
- Prior to pumping any other media, a check must be made to determine the suitability and resistance of the pumps (in standard or special versions), taking pump performance and temperature values into consideration.
Electrical
- General formula for calculating power:
P (bar) x Q (l/min) = kW / 475
Mechanical / hydraulic
- Construction Characteristics:
- Crankcase of solid sphero-cast-iron ensuring high stability and vibration dampening.
- Crankshaft with taper roller bearings and plain bearing con rod, all running in oil.
- Solid ceramic plunger (P62/50 has a hard metal-coated stainless steel plunger).
- Double plunger sealing.
- All gaskets held in seal sleeves ensuring precise centring and easy replacement.
- Identical suction and discharge valves, easily accessible via plugs.
- Materials Used:
- Valve Casing: Stainless steel AISI 303 (1.4305).
- Plunger: Solid ceramic, or P62/50 stainless steel with hard metal-coating.
- Valves: High-Grade Stainless Steel (P62/50 uses Duplex Steel / 1.4571 / AISI 316TI).
- Sleeves: Nitrile with fabric reinforcing (P62/50 uses Aramid-Packing).
- Crankshaft: Drop-forged and case-hardened.
- Even though SPECK-TRIPLEX P62 pumps run almost pulsation-free, a pressure accumulator may be necessary depending on the unit's construction and overall operating conditions. The same effect can also be achieved by using flexible pressure lines.
Special Versions
- The model P62/70 is available with valve casing and wetted parts of stainless steel AISI 303 and is marked with an "R" suffix.
- Special seals are available upon request.
