Summary
Product identification
- Series: SPECK P71 High-Pressure Plunger Pumps
Operating limits
- Maximum Water Temperature: 60 °C
- Operation without a safety valve or exceeding temperature/speed limits automatically voids the warranty.
- A safety valve must be installed in accordance with guidelines for liquid spraying units, set so that the admissible operating pressure cannot be exceeded by more than 10%.
- Cavitation must be avoided, especially when pumping warm water.
- Performance data provided is for intermittent operation; data for continuous operation is available upon request.
Feed water
SPECK TRIPLEX Plunger Pumps are suitable for pumping clean water and other non-aggressive or abrasive media with a specific weight similar to water. Prior to pumping any other media, a check must be made to determine the suitability and resistance of the pumps (standard or special version), taking pump performance and temperature values into consideration.
Electrical
- General formula for calculating power: P (bar) x Q (l/min) / 475 = kW
Mechanical / hydraulic
The P71 series pumps feature:
- Crankcase of solid sphero-cast-iron ensuring high stability and vibration dampening.
- Crankshaft with taper roller bearings and plain bearing con rod, all running in oil.
- Double plunger sealing.
- All gaskets are held in seal sleeves, ensuring precise centring and easy replacement.
- Identical suction and discharge valves, easily accessible via plugs.
Materials Used
- Valve Casing:
- P71/70, /90, and /110 models: stainless steel AISI 303 (1.4305).
- P71/40 and /50 models: stainless steel UNS J 91540 (1.4313).
- Plunger: Solid ceramic; P71/40, /50, and /70 models feature hard metal-coated stainless steel.
- Valves: High-Grade Stainless Steel.
- Sleeves: Nitrile with fabric reinforcing (P71/40 and /50 models use Aramid-Packing).
- Crankshaft: Drop-forged and case-hardened.
Special Versions
- The P71/50-500R is exclusively an 'R' version (AISI 303) pump.
- All other models in the P71 high-pressure series are available with valve casings and wetted parts of AISI 303 stainless steel under the 'R' designation.
- P71 in “RE” version (AISI 316TI) and special seals are available upon request.
