Safety Guidelines:
- A safety valve must be installed in accordance with guidelines for liquid spraying units, set so that the admissible operating pressure cannot be exceeded by more than 10%.
- Pump operation without a safety valve, or any excess in temperature or speed limits, automatically voids the warranty.
Feed water
SPECK TRIPLEX Plunger Pumps are suitable for pumping clean water and other non-aggressive or abrasive media with a specific weight similar to water.
- Prior to pumping any other media, a check must be made to determine the suitability and resistance of the pumps (standard or special version), considering pump performance and temperature values.
- Particular care is required when pumping warm water, making absolutely sure that cavitation cannot occur.
Mechanical / hydraulic
General Specifications:
- Plunger diameter: 45 mm, 50 mm, or 55 mm (depending on model)
- Stroke: 58 mm
- Weight (approx.): 185 kg or 215 kg (depending on model)
Construction Characteristics:
- Crankcase: Solid sphero-cast iron, ensuring high stability and vibration dampening.
- Crankshaft: Features taper roller bearings and plain bearing con rod, all running in oil.
- Plunger: Solid ceramic.
- Sealing: Double plunger sealing.
- Gaskets: All gaskets are held in seal sleeves, ensuring precise centering and easy replacement.
- Optional reduction gear: Available with gear ratios for 1500 min⁻¹, 1800 min⁻¹, and 2200 min⁻¹ input RPM.
- Can be supplied with a solid shaft or hollow shaft (SAE-C Spline 14T 12/24DP).
- Includes a mounting flange for a hydraulic motor.
- Optional integrated gear oil cooling system: Recommended for power ratings >60 kW or continuous operation.
- Pumps are also available with a valve lifter.
Materials Used:
- Valve Casing: Nickel-plated sphero-cast-iron.
- Plunger: Solid ceramic.
- Valves: High-Grade Stainless Steel.
- Sleeves: Nitrile (NBR) with fabric reinforcing.
- Crankshaft: Drop-forged and case-hardened.
Installation Considerations:
- Even though SPECK-TRIPLEX P76 pumps run almost pulsation-free, a pressure accumulator may be necessary in some cases. This depends mainly on the unit's construction and overall operating conditions.
- The effect of a pressure accumulator can also be achieved by using flexible pressure lines.
- Using a pulsation damper adds considerably to the life of the seals and bearings.
Electrical
- Power consumption ranges from 82.5 kW to 90.0 kW, depending on the model.
- A general formula for calculating power is:
P (bar) x Q (l/min) = kW / 475
