Feed water

SPECK TRIPLEX Plunger Pumps are suitable for pumping clean water and other non-aggressive or non-abrasive media with a specific weight similar to water. Prior to pumping any other media, suitability and resistance of standard or special-version pumps must be checked, considering pump performance and temperature values. Particular care must be taken when pumping warm water, making absolutely sure that cavitation cannot occur.

Installation

Even though SPECK-TRIPLEX pumps run almost pulsation-free, a pressure accumulator may be necessary depending mainly on the construction of the unit and its operating conditions. The same effect can also be achieved by using flexible pressure lines.

Special Versions

• It is possible to manufacture the wetted parts from a selection of different high-grade steels or from seawater-resistant bronze alloy where specific applications are involved.
• Separate cooling or rinsing chambers can be fitted for the plunger seals.
