Propeller Design
- RW 400 and RW 650: Hydraulic-optimized, 2- or 3-blade axial flow propeller design, ensuring high mixing performance and self-cleaning.
- RW 480: Special 2-blade mixed-flow propeller design, generating strong rotating turbulent flow in radial and axial directions, highly efficient for homogenization of concentrated sludge and slurries.
- RW 200 and RW 280: Hydraulic-optimized, 2-blade axial flow propeller design running at high speed (4 poles), creating strong rotating turbulent flow in axial direction, highly efficient for homogenization of raw sewage and floating crusts.
Gearbox (RW 480 only)
- Helical one-stage robust gearbox, allowing numerous ratios via fatigue-strength helical gears.
- Calculated lifetime of more than 100,000 hours for the oil-lubricated bearings.
Mounting (RW 200 and RW 280)
- Versatile mounting bracket for hanging installation, allowing adjustment of both vertical and horizontal orientation to remove sediments from dead zones. Minimal installation footprint.
Sump Sizing (RW 200 / RW 280)
- Round sumps:
- RW 200: Max. diameter 3.5 m
- RW 280: Max. diameter 5.0 m
- Rectangular tanks:
- RW 200: Max. size 3 x 5 m
- RW 280: Max. size 4 x 6 m
Specific Power Density (RW 200 / RW 280 in pump stations)
- Municipal raw sewage: 25 - 40 W/m³
- Sewage containing lots of solid materials: 50 - 80 W/m³
- Sewage containing lots of sandy materials: 100 - 200 W/m³
Operation (RW 200 / RW 280 in pump stations)
The mixer is controlled by a level control unit, switching on shortly before the pumps. A timer typically allows 30 to 45 seconds of mixing before pump startup. An additional level control unit switches off the mixer when 30 to 40 cm of propeller coverage remains.
