Membrane Series Overview
- TF-Series (Residential): Extra Low Energy Reverse Osmosis Polyamide-Thin Film Composite membranes, designed for residential use. NSF/ANSI Standard 58 certified for material requirements.
- HF1-Series (Commercial): Low Energy Reverse Osmosis Polyamide Thin-Film Composite membranes, operating at low applied pressures, featuring a protective ABS shell.
- HF4-Series (Commercial): Extra Low Energy Reverse Osmosis Polyamide Thin-Film Composite membranes, operating at even lower pressures than standard low energy, featuring a protective ABS shell.
- HF5-Series (Commercial): Ultra Low Energy Reverse Osmosis Polyamide Thin-Film Composite membranes, designed for high permeate production at operating pressures as low as 80 psi, featuring a protective tape-wound exterior. Suitable for cold temperatures.
- HR3-Series (Commercial): High Rejection Reverse Osmosis Polyamide Thin-Film Composite membranes, designed for high salt rejection in tap water and light brackish water applications at standard 225 psi pressures, featuring a protective ABS shell.
- NF3-Series (Commercial): Nanofiltration Polyamide Thin-Film Composite membranes, designed for low operating pressures, featuring a protective ABS shell.
- NF4-Series (Commercial): Nanofiltration Polyamide Thin-Film Composite membranes, designed for higher rejection levels and low operating pressures, featuring a protective ABS shell.
Operating Limits
The following operating limits apply to AXEON membrane elements:
- Membrane Type: Polyamide Thin-Film Composite (for all listed commercial and TF-Series residential)
- Maximum Operating Temperature: 113°F (45°C)
- Maximum temperature for continuous operations above pH10 is 95°F (35°C).
- Maximum Feed Silt Density Index (SDI): 5
- Chlorine Tolerance: 0 ppm (free chlorine and other oxidizing agents will cause premature membrane failure).
Specific Operating Pressure Limits by Series:
- TF-Series (Residential): Maximum Operating Pressure: 150 psi (10 bar)
- HF1, HF4, HR3, NF3, NF4 Series (Commercial): Maximum Operating Pressure: 600 psi (41 bar)
- HF5-Series (Commercial): Maximum Operating Pressure: 400 psi (27.58 bar)

Test parameters for performance specifications are based on:
- TDS: 550 TDS
- Filtration: 5 Micron filtered, de-chlorinated
- Source: Municipal Feed Water
- Temperature: 77°F (25°C)
- Permeate Recovery: 15%
- pH Range: 6.5 - 7.0
- Data taken after 30 minutes of operation at the specified operating pressure.
Product Water
- Minimum Salt Rejection: 96% (for RO elements, Nanofiltration has specific ranges).
- Permeate flow for individual elements may vary +/- 20%. Permeate flow varies with feed water temperature.

AXEON Membrane Housings
AXEON Membrane Housings feature a convenient side port entry, an easy-to-remove snap ring, and a removable end cap for ease of installation and maintenance. They are made from PVC and GTX® material, include double o-ring permeate seals, and fit all standard size membrane elements. Housings are individually inspected, sanitized, and made in the U.S.A.
