Important Information

• Proper start-up of RO systems is essential; refer to "Start-Up Sequence" (Form No. 609-02077).
• Avoid abrupt pressure or cross-flow variations during start-up, shutdown, or cleaning.
• During start-up, increase feed pressure gradually over 30-60 seconds, and achieve cross-flow velocity gradually over 15-20 seconds.
• Discard permeate obtained from the first hour of operation.
• Keep elements moist at all times after initial wetting.
• Failure to strictly follow operating limits and guidelines will void the DOW™ FILMTEC™ Reverse Osmosis and Nanofiltration Three-Year Prorated Limited Warranty (Form No. 609-35010).
• For prolonged system shutdowns, immerse membrane elements in a preservative solution to prevent biological growth.
• The customer is responsible for effects of incompatible chemicals and lubricants on elements.
• Avoid permeate-side backpressure at all times.
• These membranes may be subject to drinking water application restrictions in some countries. Check application status before use and sale.
• The use of this product does not inherently guarantee the removal of cysts and pathogens; effective reduction depends on the complete system design, operation, and maintenance.
