Summary
Product identification
POREX® TMF 4-Tubular Membrane Filter (TMF) Modules are cross-flow tubular membrane modules that incorporate Porex’s unique, structural membrane tubes. These modules are designed for optimal high solids separation at high flux rates, offering superior strength for higher operating and backwash pressures, which leads to improved solids removal efficiency, higher flux, and a reduced system footprint. The structural composite membrane features PVDF membrane bonded to a PVDF substrate or anchored to a PE substrate.
Key features of the TMF Series include:
- Consistent, reliable solid/liquid separations and long service life.
- Unique support with PVDF membrane offers high performance tubular membrane with superior operating characteristics.
- Sintered PVDF substrate with PVDF membrane provides high temperature and improved chemical compatibility (pH range of 0–14).
- PVDF/PVDF composite option offers increased abrasion resistance and enhanced membrane durability.
- Three distinct membrane pore sizes are available on two different substrate options.
- Uniform, thermally-bonded omni-directional substrate pore structure provides an optimized support structure for tubular membranes and enhanced membrane durability.
- Available in multiple tube quantities and diameters for increased surface area and flux.
The datasheet lists various models with nominal pore sizes of 0.05µm, 0.1µm, and 0.5µm. These modules can have Grade 1 PVC or CPVC housings and UHMWPE or PVDF substrates. Maximum continuous operating temperatures vary by model: 43˚C (110˚F), 60˚C (140˚F), or 80˚C (176˚F).
