Operating Information and Notices
- For the recommended design range, users should consult the latest Toray technical bulletin, design guidelines, computer design programs, and/or an application specialist.
- Failure to strictly follow the operating limits will void the Limited Warranty.
- Elements are wet tested, treated with a tested feed water solution, and vacuum packed in oxygen barrier bags with deoxidant inside.
- To prevent biological growth during system shutdown, it is recommended to flush Toray elements with seawater for 30-60 minutes every two days.
- Free chlorine and other oxidizing agents (especially with heavy metals acting as oxidation catalysts) in the feed water can cause unexpected oxidation of the membrane. It is strongly recommended to remove these oxidizing agents before operating the RO system.
- Permeate from the first hour of operation shall be discarded.
- The customer is fully responsible for the effects of chemicals incompatible with the elements; their use will void the element Limited Warranty.
- Toray accepts no responsibility for results obtained by the application of this information or the safety or suitability of Toray's products, either alone or in combination with other products. Users are advised to perform their own tests to determine safety and suitability.
- All data may change without prior notice due to technical modifications or production changes.
