General Operating Information

  • It is recommended to consult the latest Toray technical bulletin, design guidelines, computer design program, and/or an application specialist for the recommended design range. Failure to strictly follow operating limits may void the Limited Warranty.
  • All elements are wet tested, treated with tested feed water solution, and vacuum packed in oxygen barrier bags with deoxidant.
  • To prevent biological growth during system shutdown, it is recommended to flush Toray elements with seawater for 30-60 minutes once every two days.
  • The presence of free chlorine and other oxidizing agents (especially with heavy metals as catalysts) in feed water can cause unexpected oxidation of the membrane. It is strongly recommended to remove these oxidizing agents before operating the RO system.
  • Permeate from the first hour of operation shall be discarded.
  • Customers are fully responsible for the effects of chemicals incompatible with the elements. Their use will void the element Limited Warranty.

Physical Dimensions

The element has an outer diameter of 7.9 inches (201 mm) and a length of 40 inches (1,016 mm), with an end fitting of 1.125 inches (29 mm). A diagram illustrating flow direction and dimensions is provided in the original document. All dimensions are shown in inches (millimeter).
