Operating Information
Elements are wet tested and treated with a 1% by weight percent sodium bisulfite (NaHSO₃) storage solution before being vacuum packed. For short-term storage or shutdown, it is recommended to immerse elements in a protective solution of 500 - 1,000 ppm food-grade sodium bisulfite dissolved in permeate. Permeate from the first hour of operation must be discarded. Using chemicals incompatible with the elements will void the Limited Warranty.
