Operating Limits
- Maximum Operating Pressure: 600 psi (4.1 MPa)
- Maximum Feed Water Temperature: 113°F (45℃)
- Maximum Feed Water SDI₁₅: 5
- Feed Water Chlorine Concentration: < 0.1 ppm
- Feed Water pH Range (Continuous Operation): 2–11
- Feed Water pH Range (Chemical Cleaning): 1–13
- Maximum Pressure Drop per Element: 15 psi (0.10 MPa)
- Maximum Pressure Drop per Vessel: 50 psi (0.34 MPa)
- Recommended Process/Operation Pressure: < 2.0 MPa
- Ultra-low pressure elements perform best with low salinity brackish water.
- The recommended pressure range should be maintained even at low temperatures.
Storage and Handling Recommendations
- Elements are wet tested and treated with a 1% by weight sodium bisulfite storage solution, then vacuum packed.
- Alternatively, elements are treated with tested feed water solution and vacuum packed with deoxidant.
- For short-term storage, shipment, or system shutdown, immerse elements in a protective solution of 500–1,000 ppm food-grade sodium bisulfite dissolved in permeate to prevent biological growth.
- Remove free chlorine and other oxidizing agents (especially in the presence of heavy metals) from feed water before RO system operation to prevent oxidation damage, which is not covered by warranty.
- Discard permeate from the first hour of operation.
- Using chemicals incompatible with the elements will void the Limited Warranty.
